Cookies and local storage
Last updated October 22, 2026
TuneKite uses very little storage. This page lists everything that may be stored on your device and why.
Strictly necessary
ts-consent (local storage): records your choice about analytics and advertising and the date you made it, so you are not asked again on every page. It is asked again after twelve months.
Preferences
Tool settings in local storage, such as the metronome tempo, time signature and click sound, the left-handed chord view and ear-training scores. They stay on your device, are never sent anywhere, and exist only if you use those tools.
Analytics
_ga and _ga_<ID> (cookies, up to 2 years): set by Google Analytics 4 to tell one visit from the next. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland they are set only after you agree. Elsewhere they are set by default until you switch analytics off in the privacy settings, which removes them from use.
Advertising
None at present. TuneKite does not show ads yet, so no advertising cookies are set.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, advertising storage stays off regardless of any earlier choice.
Changing your choice
Use “Privacy settings” in the footer, or the button at the end of the privacy page, to change your choice at any time. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings.
