About Bağlama düzeni (short neck)
Bağlama düzeni is the most widely used tuning for the short-neck (kısa sap) bağlama. Sources list the courses as alt Re, orta Sol, üst La. With this tuning most folk songs (türkü) can be played with a pick on the familiar fret positions taught in bağlama method books, which is why teachers usually start beginners here.
Tuning tips
Strings need a little time to settle into Bağlama düzeni (short neck). Tune every string once, play for a minute, then tune them all again: the second pass is usually only a few cents and holds much longer.
Use Auto mode: the tuner already knows the notes of Bağlama düzeni (short neck) and picks the nearest string. If a string is far off, tap its chip to lock it in Manual mode, then turn the peg until the needle centres.
